Bishop Samuel Kwame Denoo, an independent parliamentary candidate, has successfully filed his nomination to contest the Amasaman constituency seat in the upcoming 2024 general elections.
Addressing the media after filing his nomination, Bishop Denoo expressed gratitude for the overwhelming support he received. According to him, Amasaman needs a competent Parliamentarian and effective leadership who can bring development to the constituency.
He emphasized the need for religious leaders to engage in active politics, stating that their presence in Parliament would help promote the true identity of a Ghanaian.
The man of God also highlighted the importance of having more clergy in Parliament, citing the example of the anti-LGBTQ bill, which he believes would have been better explained and passed into law with their presence.
Confident of his chances, Bishop Denoo stated that his representation in Parliament would be welcomed by religious bodies, who would see him as a representative of their interests. He pledged to lobby for moderate loans for traders in the constituency to boost business activities if elected.
With his nomination filed, Bishop Samuel Kwame Denoo is set to contest the Amasaman seat in the 2024 polls.
