Rich Family Church International, December 30, 2024
Bishop Ebenezer N.A. Armah delivered a powerful and thought-provoking sermon titled “Obedience” during today’s service at Rich Family Church International. Speaking to a congregation eager to usher in the new year, Bishop Armah stressed the critical importance of full obedience to God, calling on believers to renew their commitment to walking faithfully with the Lord in 2025.
Partial Obedience Is Disobedience
Bishop Armah emphasized that partial obedience equates to disobedience, using the story of Jesus at the wedding in Cana to illustrate his point. He reminded the congregation of Mary’s instruction to the servants: “Whatever He tells you to do, do it.” The servants fully obeyed Jesus’ command to fetch water, leading to the miraculous transformation of water into wine.
“This year, many of us have not been fully obedient,” Bishop Armah said. “2025 must be a year of full obedience—a year where we commit to following God’s instructions wholeheartedly, for the sake of our families, households, and spiritual well-being.”
The Pursuit of Wealth vs. Seeking God
Reflecting on the challenges of modern living, Bishop Armah cautioned against the relentless pursuit of wealth at the expense of spiritual growth. Citing Matthew 6:33, he urged the congregation to prioritize seeking the kingdom of God, trusting that all other blessings would follow.
“Many are chasing money and neglecting the voice of God, but it is the blessing of the Lord that makes one truly rich,” he declared. “I pray that God will grace us with the ability to serve Him better in 2025.”
A Year of Prosperity and Exploits
Declaring 2025 as a year of prosperity and exploits, Bishop Armah encouraged the congregation to rely on the knowledge of Christ. Quoting Daniel 11:32, he said, “They who know the Lord shall be strong and do exploits.” He challenged attendees to stand firm in their faith despite the devil’s attempts to sow doubt and distraction.
“The enemy wants you to disobey God, to lose faith in the scriptures, and to abandon the church,” Bishop Armah warned. “But we are not a people without knowledge. We are a people full of the knowledge of Christ.”
A Call to Action and Covenant Renewal
Bishop Armah concluded his sermon with a call for the congregation to take a decisive stand for obedience. He urged them to renew their covenant with God, declaring, “Enough is enough. Do not give up on your faith. Let us walk with God into 2025, fully obedient and ready to do exploits for His kingdom.”
The service ended with the reading of Job 36:11-12 and Psalm 30:5-6, reinforcing the promise of God’s blessings for those who obey Him and seek His presence with diligence.
This impactful sermon by Bishop Armah leaves the congregation inspired to embrace full obedience in the coming year, trusting in God’s grace and guidance to lead them into a season of prosperity, exploits, and renewed faith.
