Bernard Mornah, the flagbearer of the People’s National Convention (PNC), has pledged to bring meaningful change to Ghana.
In his acceptance speech on Monday, 9th September, at the party headquarters, he expressed humility and gratitude for the opportunity to lead the party. He paid tribute to the founders of the party and the nation, including Kwame Nkrumah and Dr. Hilla Liman, emphasizing the need for courageous and dynamic leadership to ensure that Ghana’s resources benefit its people.
Mornah outlined his vision for the country’s future, promising to create jobs, improve education by indigenizing and commercializing local languages making them compulsory in schools instead of English and ensuring that every Ghanaian has access to quality healthcare.
“We need to bring back leadership that will ensure that the resources of Ghana are not expropriated to the disadvantage of the people of Ghana,” Mornah stated. “Every Ghanaian deserves to be born rich, not poor. We will make sure that everyone has access to quality education, healthcare, and job opportunities.”
He also vowed to select a competent Vice Presidential candidate best suited to help him bring change to the country, whom he will present to the National Executive Committee for approval.
Mornah expressed his gratitude to his supporters and acknowledged their encouragement, saying, “I am thankful for the messages of congratulations. I will respond to every message.”
Reaching out to his opponents (David Apasara) Mornah urged, “Let us work together to rebuild the party. Change is here, and Bernard Mornah is the next President of Ghana.”
