Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the Vice President of Ghana, recently endorsed Frank Asiedu Bekoe as the incoming Member of Parliament (MP) for the Suhum constituency during the Bawumia Community Connect event in Suhum. Dr. Bawumia’s endorsement is a significant show of support, as he encouraged the people of Suhum to vote for Frank Asiedu Bekoe and the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

During the event, Dr. Bawumia highlighted the achievements of the NPP government under President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, particularly in the areas of road construction, education, and the introduction of the Ghana Card. He emphasized that the NPP government has outperformed any other administration in the Fourth Republic, particularly in road infrastructure, building more schools, and implementing the free secondary education policy. He also mentioned the benefits of the Ghana Card, which allows citizens to purchase items on credit, similar to systems in South Africa.

Dr. Bawumia also drew comparisons between the current NPP administration and the previous government led by John Mahama, particularly on key policy issues. He criticized the Mahama administration for canceling teaching and nursing allowances and promised that the NPP would focus on job creation, distribute laptops to senior high schools, and provide free university education for people with disabilities.

His statements were a call to the electorate to support the NPP in the upcoming elections and to back Frank Asiedu Bekoe’s candidacy for the Suhum constituency.
