The students at the University of Education, Winneba has been demonstrating against their vice chancellor and the teaching council over the dismissal of some lecturers at the University.
This unlawful dismisal as the students termed has led them abandoned lectures for the past three days to be on rampage towards the University of Education Teaching Council and the Vice Chancellor as matter of egency bring back the dismissed lecturers.
The aggrieved students demonstrators have caused menace in burning of cars and other destroyed properties yet to be known at the University campus In view of the Central Regional Security Council in consultation with the Central Regional Minister, Hon Kwamena Duncan have indefinitely closed down the University of Education, Winneba.
Source reveal that the Central Regional Security Council and the regional minister in equal consultation have ordered the students a timeline of about 6pm today 14th March 2019 to vacate from the campuses of Winneba and Ajumako of the University of Education until further relevant notices.
